This is such a late post but better late then never I guess. Corbin was very excited about being Darth Vadar this year. We even showed up at Kroger at 7:30am to buy some milk, he was in full costume, and using the force on everyone he saw! He left me frozen in the deli aisle for quite some time :) Quincy was just glad to be outside toddling around. She was the cutest cupcake on two feet and smiling at everyone who passed by!!

Can hardly believe our sweet girl (that is what the big brother calls her...so sweet!) is ONE! The time has flown and crawled by...because it seems like yesterday we brought her home and then it is also amazing all that has happened in her short little life! She walks, "talks" and has a mind of her own! She enjoys: reading books on your lap, pulling things off shelves, ice cream, being outside, people, the cat food, having her hair (what she has) brushed, kitties, anything her brother has. Dislikes: baby food, car rides, not getting Big People stuff, often the bath, being in the high chair, tunnles or bounce houses. She is such a joy and we love kissing her big chapped cheeks every chance we get!!!

Can hardly believe that my favorite little man is four years old already! Corbin is FULL of life and a huge blessing in ours. He is silly, dangerous, curious, a wonderful brother, a Connoisseur of chocolate milk, loves having friends to play with, never tires of asking questions, and a complete joy! On the morning of his birthday he was asked if he felt any different now that he was 4, he responded, "I do feel a little stronger!" Kurt picked him up and he said, "Mommy! Daddy can still pick me up when I'm four!" He says the funniest things...we are always laughing! And I hope we can carry him for a long time to come. We celebrated his big day with a Star Wars inspired party. He had the time of his life! He jumped, splashed and light sabered his way through the day. The following morning we asked if he had fun, he said, "Yes, but my body hurts!" It's tough being 4, but I think he can handle it.

Last week I had a little mishap with the couch, and the couch won! I am once again spending the summer in a cast, but I am not going to let it slow me down. I still golf, ride my four wheeler and play teeball. My sister is also not slowing down. Quincy has 4 teeth, can crawl, pull to stand, sit on her own, and wave hi/bye. She doesn't care much for baby food, but wants to try big people food whenever we are eating. I love her so much and I get very excited with each new discovery she makes.

Quincy will be crawling in no time. She has already started to creep and inch around, especially for remotes and cell phone! You would think that if you are crawling you would be sleeping through the night though! She isn't as passionate about food as Corbin was, but then again, who is?! We have been enduring LOTS of rain and lots of mosquitos...Corbin had a dozen on his neck and back last week, a little nervous that Quincy may get carried away in a swarm. We are all doing great, but are looking forward to better weather.

I mean T-Ball! Corbin will correct you if you call it baseball :) He has only had two games and two practices because of our unusually rainy Spring, but he LOVES it and the team snack at the end. He likes to run the bases and hits like a champ, being in the outfield takes more patience but for our super active little man he does GREAT! I think he has the biggest fan base as well. We are proud of our little ball player and how much he enjoys being a part of a team.

While daddy is working hard golfing in Orlando Florida, we are spending some time in Ohio. Today we got to see great grandma and grandpa who we haven't seen since Christmas! Quincy got to show off her teeth and how she can sit and roll over! We have had lots of fun at grandma's house, with already decorating Easter cookies, bathing in the sink, and playing with my favorite cousins! I know we will continue to have fun the next few days...eventhough daddy left us in rainy cold weather!

Well Spring is occassionally making an appearance in Noblesville. We have had some really great days where we could play outside...and BOY did we! From bike riding, 4 wheeling, jumping on the trampoline, going to the park, blowing bubbles...Corbin even asked to get his swimsuit on! It was only 52degrees so we thought we would say no to that. Quincy had her first swing ride and bounce on the trampoline. She loves watching her brother play. But I am sure, just as soon as she is able, she will be right there with him.

3 Months

I have been a big brother for 3 months now, and I must say, I am the best at it. Pretty sure this "job" was created for me! I poke faces, body slam,and disrupt naps with the best of them. But I also snuggle, feed and throw away diapers with lots of love! They were calling this weekend the "Great Melt of 2011" but so far we still have 3 inches of ice on our driveway. I am MORE then ready to go outside and show Quincy parks, wagon rides, and even grass! (We haven't seen that in about three months) We are all currently healthy, after the flu swept thru here like a wild fire. Qunicy is recovering from pneumonia and is back on the fishy mask. Thankfully she is eating again and has started laughing and smiling lots! I am doing good too...know about all of my letter sounds and have started to enjoy mommy and daddy reading me stories more. Well I better go to bed if I am gonna be up in time to wake mommy and daddy up while it's still dark...that's a tiring job, but I am sure they appreciate it!

Quincy 2 months

Quincy is our perfectly average little girl, 50th percentile for weight and height, but obviously way above average in every other way!! A little about baby Q, she has rolled over several times, has an amazing smile, has started to laugh, talks/coos a lot, sticks her tongue out when you stick yours out at her, and is destined to be Corbin's biggest fan!

It's that time again...sickness has struck Corbin. Hopefully we have it under control with antibiotics, steriods, and breathing treatments! And it is true what they say about roid rage...moody! :)

The mask is back, but with a little string cheese persuasion he actually sat for nearly half of the treatment!

Corbin is obsessed with "his baby." He needs to know where she is and what she is doing at all times. We have heard remarks like "Hi Quincy, it's Corbin. I am your big brother." "Quincy and chocolate milk are my favorite!" "Can the baby tuck me in." "She is my sister and I like to hold her." The only ill words we have heard from him was when she was getting her diaper changed. She was screaming and he said "that is why you shouldn't have had a baby. Now I can't hear that tv!" But that comment was followed by him coming over and telling her "it's ok baby. You are alright." Hopefully Corbin will be as good of a big brother as his mommy's were!

So far life outside the belly has been rough. For the first nine months I floated in a warm bath where I ate, slept and played at my leisure, now eating is a chore that typically results in what I have heard people refer to as projectile vomit. Whatever it is, it is gross and unwelcome! The doctor was concerned that I may have pyloric stenosis, so this week I had xrays and an upper GI. Everyone thought Corbin was young when he had xrays...I showed him up! Tests showed that I have reflux, which is a fancy word for I whimper while I eat and don't eat much, cringe and cry after I eat, and if I am not positioned just so, will lose whatever it was I just consumed!! The dr. also suspects a milk intolerance, so a special formula has helped clear up an unsightly rash near my lady parts. Other than that, I AM GREAT! I am looking forward to having a huge feast on Thursday!

Growing bigger every day! We had our two week appointment and Quincy is gaining weight very well, hopefully her mom loses it just as well :) She is already up to
7lbs 8oz, nearly the starting weight of her big brother. She is measuring right at 50% for weight and height, and only 25% for head (not taking after the Stewart side so far)! So far she is our little peanut compared to her brother, who we have gained a new appreciation for "BIG BONED." Corbin LOVES his sister. He was holding her the other day and as he look at her he said "I'm Corbin, your big brother!" then leaned in and kissed her! Melted my heart!! I know I need to remember these moments because I am sure it will be no time before they are fighting over toys, racing for shotgun, and even Corbin getting mad that all his friends have a crush on Qunicy!!

These pictures show just the tiniest glimpse of Corbin's goofieness!! He surprises us everyday with a witty and hilarious comment that makes us know we are in for a ride with this one! A few recent comments from Corbin, "Daddy, your hair is touching your ears. You look like the guys from Monster's Nic (aka Monster's Inc.)!" "Mommy, is my baby sister going to go pee pee out of her bottom like you does?" A little boy in his class was crying for the entire morning. Corbin plugged his ears and told him, "Turn off your tears! And go over there if you are going to cry!" (Do you think he has been told that once or twice?) "Mommy, you are too big for the slide. Daddy, do you want to go down with me?" (I know, mommy has a big belly right now, but I still think I weigh less then daddy!!) "Look mommy. I found money. I will take one to Kroger and the other for Nicaragua (where our sponsor child is)." That one was very sweet! The list could go on and on...we are trying to put a hault to potty talk. It must be an inate thing in boys :) He keeps us laughing and we love him lots!!!

You may be able to look back to a year or so ago and see how mortified mom and dad were to take me on an airplane, but they have done it again. And if I may say so, this time was a smashing success! The dvd player and plethora of snacks may receive credit from mom and dad, but I like to think it is because I am really just that good! I did look around on my flights and noticed other kids my age doing the strangest thing...sleeping! Boy did they miss out. I was worried mom and dad didn't fully appreciate the bathrooms on the airplane so I made sure I had them take me often. Marketing has worked on this toddler...if it is Toy Story he wants it...well in his words "needs" it. Let's see how long it lasts. If it is like any other toy...about 2 seconds!! Corbin has yet to find the thrill in playing solo or with a toy. He often says "I need a friend to do it with me." Mommy is usually the friend :)

A week at grandma and grandpa's house equals lots of parks, pools, and playmates!

Could someone tell this boy he is not 5 years old! Sometimes he is such a daredevil it is scary.

Big Bangs and Bad Ears make for an interesting night! Once we remedied the situation, he thought the fireworks were pretty cool.

Should we be flattered or frustrated that Corbin refuses to wear any type of floatation device without screaming bloody murder, but trusts us completly and jumps off the diving board. He doesn't even mind if he goes under water. But this afternoon he made big strides. He had us let go while he was "swimming" and tippy toed and arm swam around the shallow end. He was so proud of himself. He cheered and exclaimed "Mommy I do it all by myself...I don't need you anymore daddy!"

Corbin has finally accepted that the baby in mommy's belly is a girl and not a boy. For a while he would exclaim, "NO! She's a boy!" He is being very sweet about the whole thing and I know he will be a great big brother. He asks daily if the baby came out yet and makes plans for her to play with him. "She gonna frow rocks with me?" "My baby gonna sit next to me in the car?" He has even named the baby..."Rick Frog." A touch of sophistication and whimsy I will give him that, but we are not running out to get it embroidered on anything...yet!

This story begins a few weeks ago. I was at my OB for a routine prenatal visit. I was drained of some blood for a quad screen that my doctor likes to preform in case there is a problem with the baby. That way I can deliver at a larger hospital equipped for infants in need of special care. Not thinking much of the test and not really knowing what I was being screened for, a week went by before I received a phone call from the doctors office. I received a message that they had the results from my quad screen and to call the office. This message made my stomach turn a little. Typically the nurse leaves results from bloodwork on my voicemail, I immediately returned the call to only receive the answering service. Phone tag proceeded a few more times until I heard these words play back on my voicemail "Sorry that we keep playing phone tag. But I don't want to keep you in suspense any longer. We have the results of your bloodwork. The screening for hepatitis A and Rubella look great. But your quad screen did come back abnormal. You will need to see a specialist at Maternal and Fetal Medcine. Call us back to set something up." It felt as if time stood still. "What did they find!? What was wrong with my baby?! Please no!" As my mind raced, Kurt met me at home and we began to take in the news. An appointment was arranged for the following Friday, and so we had a week to grapple with all the possibilities. After researching the test a little and speaking with a few friends I found that many women experience abnormal results with a healthy baby. I prayed I fell into that category but we believed that we were in need of a miracle. Over the next week we had an army of people praying for us and our little baby. I had people praying that I didn't even know, it is overwhelming to know the love and support that was poured out on our behalf. A wonderful woman from church had been praying for us and wrote out what she believes God was telling her about out petition to heal our baby, "I have those whom you pray for. I AM in control and all life is in my hands. I AM the creator of all life and I take care of my creation. I AM fixed upon my children. Trust in me. Trust in me. Trust in me. I will never release myself from your grasp. I AM with you and I AM a prayer answerer." An amazing reminder in the time of chaos that God does hear us and that he is the God who heals! Friday came and our appointment began meeting with a genetic counselor who reviewed our results. She showed me several numbers from my bloodwork that I really had no idea what they meant, but after she went through a portion of medical mumbo-jumbo I did understand what she said next, "Your results indicate an abnoraml screen for Downs Syndrome. Women who receive an abnoraml test result have a 1 out of 600 chance of have a child with Downs. Your odds however are 1 out of 6." WOW. She told us to head back to the waiting area to wait to be called back for our ultrasound. Nothing quite like receiving life altering news and then being asked to take a seat in the waiting room with strangers. We just sat and prayed that the ultrasound would show no markers for Downs. The ultrasound began, and we discovered we were having a girl! The technician took measurements for about 45 minutes and did not discover any markers for Downs! The doctor came in and said with the results of the ultrasound my odds increased to 1 out of 19. Still not completely reassuring and so an amniocentisis was preformed. And the waiting for test results continued. The doctor said the earliest we could know would be Monday, but seeing how that was Memorial Day the office would not be open until Tuesday. Monday night as I was putting Corbin to bed the phone rang, I told Kurt not to answer it! He did, and it was the doctor. He told us that our baby girl tested negative for Downs!!! What an amazing doctor to have come in on his day off to find our results. He was a blessing to us. I tell you all of this not because I want to share an abnormal test result scare, but because we believe that God healed this little girl. We saw the power of prayer at work and ask for continued prayers throughout the remainder of this pregnancy. God is good!

Everyone thought it would be a good idea to get me out of the house so he could sleep, I think I should be insulted. But either way, I got to go to the Zoo. Corbin went to his first dentist appointment and did pretty good. Granted the Dr. only checked for "teeth bugs" to get him comfortable going to the dentist, but he was proud of his new toothbrush. However we did discover that in true Stewart fashion Corbin is a teeth grinder!

I've moved to a big boy bed, which happens to be in the same room as the computer. Mommy used to post my updates while I was napping or asleep, but now she has limited access to the computer, so I am typing this while she thinks I am napping...shhh! A little from Christmas

We had a very busy Christmas season! Corbin loved talking about baby Jesus and was excited that Jesus shared presents on his birthday and that he would even let him (Corbin)blow out the candles on his birthday cake. Corbin sang Happy Birthday to Jesus starting in early December and still asks "where did Jesus' birthday go?" He also had fun with Santa. He left milk and cookies out for him and upon going to bed on Christmas Eve he heard Nini and Uncle Todd come through the door and Corbin came screaming out of his room "Santa's here!!" So, it has been embarrassing long since the last post. Our apologies to great grandparents and grandparents who have been asking!!!

Gigi sent a giant chocolate Turkey for Thanksgiving, don't tell mom but I preferred it to the turkey she made!

A note from Corbin's mommy: Corbin is talking up a storm! We frequently ask him if his jaw hurts because he is NEVER quiet. The other day we were driving in the car and after about 15 minutes of incessant talking Kurt and I decided we would count how long the next moment of silence would last..we got to about 4 seconds and as if grappling to find something to fill the silence Corbin blurts out "Hi...I'm Corbin!" He is getting excited for Jesus' birthday, but said that he gets to blow out the candles on his cake. I don't think Jesus will mind. He has started a new saying whenever asked to do something he doesn't want to do or doesn't want to admit doing...Corbin do you have to go potty? "No, not me, not Corbin!" I asked Corbin yesterday, "How old are you?" he responded "2" "How old is mommy?" "8" "How old is daddy?" "Old." Corbin keeps us busy and keeps us laughing!

If there was an award for horrible parent, we would get it! We didn't have a camera on Halloween...terrible right? But our neighbor was kind enough to let us snap a few shots so we could capture our cute lion on his big night. The first few houses were slightly confusing to Corbin. He traded candy with each homeowner. I like to think he was polite and wanted to give them a treat because they gave him one. But at about house 4 he was a pro!
Some Corbin quotes of the night:
Some houses just left a bowl of candy on a stool for the kids to take..He would go take a piece of candy and come back kind of sad and say "It was just a stool."
Another house had ghosts on the porch, Corbin told the homeowner, "I like the snowmen."
At one house there were two bulldogs, Corbin turned to them and growled like a lion. He showed them who was boss!

Upon returning home Corbin dumped out is candy and began SWIMMING in his goodies. Just like Scrooge McDuck in all his gold. He jumped and skipped and surveyed his candy for the remainder of the night.

they don't show a mom not prepared with an extra pair of pants or underware. He borrowed some of our friends upon arrival. He squished into a pair of 18 month jeans. On the positive the bottom of his pants didn't get muddy!

Baking Cookies!

After practicing with Play Doh for a while, Corbin decided he needed to make REAL cookies. He loves to "help" use the mixer and DUMP in the ingredients. He tried about every ingredient that went in, and I think he decided flour was not that great! He enjoyed rolling out the dough and cutting out shapes, getting them to the cookie sheet was a bit more of a challenge. He wanted to enjoy them right away...so he watched them cook.

There is a long walk to daddy's football field, but LOTS of rocks. Mom thinks the rocks make the walk longer, but I'm determined to kick a rock the WHOLE way!

I know it has been a while since my last post, but mom can't find the camera and uses nini's when she gets the chance. But don't worry, I am still as busy and curious as ever. I rarely sit down which I'm sure concerns mom when she is trying to "teach" me. Just when she thinks that I'm not listening or learning I will dazzle her with some new ability to assure her that I am understanding- I am just a multi tasker! I know my colors, much to my dad's dismay PINK is a favorite. I am using bigger sentences to communicate, I rarely stop talking...I'm tyring to build up my jaw muscles. I can sing the abc's and count to 14. I still LOVE to drum, run, kick, swing, throw, splash, eat, drink, and wrestle...maybe one day it will read snuggle, sleep, and read - but you are only two once and I am getting the most out of it I can!!

I recently celebrated my "happy day" and I am officially 2 years old! Mom and dad let me invite some friends and family over to share in my special day. There was a giant waterslide, pools, cotton candy, popcorn, cake BUT my favorite was blowing out my candles (In the last week I have done it about 5 times!). Thanks to everyone who came to make my day so fun!

Mom thinks that I haven't quite figured out how to use bubbles. But I assure you that my way reaps more benefits! I get twice the bubble fun. First I hold the wand directly on my mouth, blow a bubble, remove wand and proceed to have bubbles come out of my mouth! More amazing though, mom caught one on camera, she has fast fingers!

It has been so hot here the last couple of days, that if you are not inside you NEED to be in the water! Yesterday I finally started to walk on my cast, I could tell mommy needed a break from carrying my "big boned" body all around. When daddy came home from work today he even joined me in running through the sprinklers!

If you haven't heard the news yet, I broke my leg while my daddy and I were playing on the inflatable games in Ohio. You can feel bad for me if you want, but here's how I see it. 1) I got a sweet Dino cast, so that's really cool. 2) I got a new cast because my dino cast was hurting me, so now I get to color on my cast, really really cool. 3) I no longer have to put forth the effort to walk. Mommy and Daddy carry me everywhere,that's the coolest! This is just a little video of how I'm doing since the accident. Check out how I scoot to move!

Jumping is one of our favorite things right now...and on a rainy day you must improvise and make your own trampoline! Note the BIG BOY UNDERWEAR! So proud of him. Kurt keeps yelling at me for calling them panties, so we have taught Corbin and myself to call them "man pants."

A few weeks ago my great grandma from California left her beautiful weather to come see little ol' me. It was so good to see her and I think I impressed her with how busy I kept mommy. Saying great grandma Vonda was a bit of a mouthful so she became my GiGi. I was asking about her today and yelled for her hoping she would come rescue me from my crib, no luck! It has been raining here for the last few weeks, so not a lot of exciting pictures to share, but thought I would show some of Gigi's visit and some shots of me doing one of my favorite things "wesling" (wrestle).

My daddy went to a far off land called Nicaragua for 10 whole days! So I had an adventure of my own for a couple days...I went to a magical place called Ohio. I always love going up there to see my grandma and grandpa and of course Keaton and Chaney. As always I was a busy busy boy! Grandma and Grandpa took me on a pursuit for hidden objects in the hours of darkness (egg hunt at night, but I wanted it to sound more grown up). I did quite well, I didn't let the big kids bully me out of candy filled goodness! Also while I was there I (drum roll please....) went poopy on the potty!! There haven't been any repeat preformances, but that is mainly because I have felt so crummy. Double ear infections (so much for those tubes) and a staff infection. I wanted to keep mommy busy with my needs so she wouldn't miss daddy...but somehow I think my plan backfired and she wanted him back even faster! Here are some pictures with my cousins...

Pajama Dilemma

I wish I had a picture to go with this post...because it was too funny! Unfortunately no camera was nearby. Lately Corbin has been asserting himself (that is a nice way of putting it), but recently he has wanted to remain in his jammies all day. If I take them off he screams "back on back on" and carries them around trying to dress himself. Yesterday we were going to MMO (mother's morning out) and the war ensued. So as a compromise, he let me dress him (if you call what looked like wrestling a greased pig letting me) and I let him put his footie pajamas over the top of his outfit. After distracting him with some fancy slide of the hand he was out of them by the time we got to church. He is also protesting baths and brushing his teeth. (Don't worry he still gets them both done, but not with a smile on his face!) Corbin could play basketball ALL day long, that is until he sees rocks and water! We spend hours throwing rocks into our pond out back, pretty soon I am going to have to buy some more to replenish the stock. I watch my neighbors play in their yards peacefully with their children-while I try to coax my child into not running for the pond each time we step outside. He is making a great case for a fence, but unfortunately not tax refund is coming our way :) Corbin has also started to go pee pee on the potty quite a bit. We are not trying to potty train him yet, but he will ask to go pee pee on the potty a couple times a day. I think it is to get out of taking naps or doing something he doesn't want to do. He is one smart cookie! He is looking forward to seeing his Great Grandma from California next week...please bring the good weather with you!

Corbin had his first trip to the ER during the wee hours of Friday morning. At midnight we awoke to Corbin struggling to breathe. Panicked we rushed into his room, searched to see if he was choking on something but saw nothing. In a split second we were in the car and off to the hospital. A few doses of steroids, a breathing treatment, and a few xrays later he was able to breathe better and it was decided that he had Croup. It was very scary to see our little man struggling for air, but God protected him and gave us the wisdom to seek help. Now that we know what to look for we will be better prepared to handled a flare up. We are pretty sure that as active as Corbin is, this will not be our last trip to the ER.

Back From Cancun!!!

I spent the last week in warm sunny Cancun, with my mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, Uncle Kyle, Aunt Tara, Keaton and Chaney (by the way I can say all of their names!)...we had so much fun. It is hard to return to the rainy, chilly midwest. I spent most of my days playing in the water and running around with my cousins. I saw dolphins, sharks, and even touched a stingray! I LOVED the water, especially jumping off the side to daddy. Now if mommy or daddy were writing this blog I am sure they would talk about what a horrible flyer I was and how crummy I slept...so we won't let them type!! Thanks grandma and grandpa for taking us!

Sorry for the delay since the last post, but Corbin had the stomach flu which followed him for about a week...believe me no one wants to see pictures of that! What is amazing is that despite being extremely sick, he still didn't slow down. Someone needs to tell him that when you are sick you can sleep longer or sit down for say 5 minutes!!! He is our energizer bunny. But the reason that I am posting tonight, is that Corbin does not approve of these pictures. He claims he does not recall the following situation. That it must have happened when he was delirious from the flu. However I thought they were cute and that you may like them too. (Thanks Chaney for letting Corbin play with your dolls and barbie microphone)

Corbin has become quite the chatter box. In fact he rarely stops "talking." He carries on continuous conversation with whoever is willing to listen. But he does know tons of words. I am amazed each day with what this little guy knows. He is starting to piece a few words together like "shoot the ball" and "dadda home." He is also showing us glimpses of the terrible twos. He does not like the word no! We have had a few all out tantrums, but hopefully this means when 2 comes he will be a piece of cake. Corbin is such a joyful little boy and he gives the best hugs and kisses!

My new favorite word and game is Money! It all began at the mall one day when I saw other kids throwing money into the fountain. But what I have discovered is that mommy and daddy have money around the house that I can throw into sinks, tubs, potties...you name it and I can throw money into it. At first I think mom and dad thought it was cute that I would say money, but after endless days of me "polietly" asking for money while standing at the sink or tub I think it has lost its charm. I got a sled for Christmas and haven't been able to use it...until today! After dad came home from work, we all got bundled up and headed to the church to sled. We didn't look like the most prestigious family - I was wearing boots that we too small, mommy's gloves, Dad had paint on his pants, and mom was wearing a pair of dad's pants with plastic baggies on her feet...I am glad that I didn't run into anyone I knew! It was soooo cold that we didn't last very long, but it was an outing!

Well something very exciting has happened to me the last few days...I FOUND MY SHADOW! At first it was a little scary, but after waving at it and talking to it I found that he is not scary at all. In fact, I see lots of sha-ohs (shadows)now...chairs have a shadow, tables have shadows, even mommy has a shadow. A whole new world has been discovered! Today mommy and I had some friends over to play. For the most part I played very nicley with baby Rowan, except I learned that you can't throw blocks at babies...oops! I have also started to jump...kinda. I have the feeling they just pretend I am getting off the ground, but I certainly try very hard. Lots of arm and head throwing. One of these days I will be able to touch the ceiling fan that I love so much! Dad has been home for the last few days on vacation, but he had to go back to work today and it was an adjustment. I was so spoiled to have my buddy being there all day long, that I waited by the window calling for him, when he came home it was a sweet reunion!

I have been a busy boy these last few days! After narrowly escaping the grusome flu that plagued mom and dad right before Christmas, I was able to celebrate with almost everyone I could imagine (just wish I could have seen great grandma Vonda!). Christmas Eve morning I opened gifts with mommy and daddy, shortly after Nini, Pawpa, Uncle Robbie and Uncle Todd came over to celebrate with us. Nini made a yummy breakfast...can you believe I ate 4 sausage patties! I am a growing boy, well atleast my potbelly is growing! Dad had to go to like a catrillion services at church and then the plan was to go to Uncle Robbie's church for Christmas Eve service. Unfortunatley we were not able to make it, but we did arrive safely to grandma and grandpa's house in Ohio. On Christmas day we spent lots of time with daddy's side of the family. I didn't really get into opening gifts, I'd rather tackle the boxes or rearrange the stacks. We stayed in Ohio for a couple of days. I got some good playing time in with my cousins! I am now back in good ol' Indiana and life is slowing returning to normal. Here is an unslaught of pictures from my festivities...

Corbin is in bed but wanted me to share some pictures of his last few days. But while I have the keyboard just thought I would share a funny story with you all (probably only funny to his parents but I will share nonetheless).
Corbin had been running around holding his socks. A few moments later he came into the room and the socks were missing. I didn't think anything of it, his socks are ALWAYS missing! He would leave the room and return repeating "shocks" over and over. He would come to my legs and leave, but each time I didn't follow he would yell "shocks." Finally I told him to take me to the socks. He brought me to the guest room where he had put his socks on the cat! He was so proud and I was amazed! He is talking so much now, not always in English :)

Cruel and Unusual Punishment...

I am not sure if it's because I wake up so early or that I didn't eat my veggies, but today mom and nini took me to a place where they did unspeakable things to me. Sure it was inviting when I first got there. They had a train set for me, a play set with a slide and even suckers...but what happened next still sends shivers down my spine. A lady strapped me down, put a cape around my neck and came at me with a sharp object. I kept tugging on the cape yelling "tuck!" (stuck) but it seemed as if no one cared. Despite the candy and the Elmo tape they let me watch I fought like a champ...both mom and I were sweating when the horror ended! Although I recovered fairly quickly after it was over, mom is the one who said she wouldn't be going back for a LONG time! Corbin 1 mom 0...

I went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Ohio this weekend and had lots of fun! Friday we went to a Christmas parade where I saw a "dino", "orseys" (horseys), ho ho ho'ed at Santa and saw my cousins driving in the parade. Grandma's house is all decorated for Christmas which gives me lots to look at but a lot of no no's that I can't touch. I only broke a small christmas tree in her nativity, oops. There is also a light switch that makes figurines play music and sing, I only asked to dance 100 times this weekend. Here are a few pictures of my adventures...

So last night was Halloween, but I have had several opportunities to wear my costume this week. On Tuesday I wore it to Kindermusik, Wednesday the stripmall near our house had trick or treating so while mommy and daddy were with their students nini and pawpa took me, Thursday I wore it to Clay Middle School for Student Venture and then Friday was the BIG day! I think mom has the tradition backwards because instead of going to the neighbors houses for candy I brought them treats! I still got a few things along the way...don't tell mom and dad!

Last week was a non-posting week on my blog for several reasons...1. I got the flu
2. Mom got the flu 3. Don't tell anyone but (mom is the one who actually pushes the keys...I of course tell her what to say, but give me a break I am one!).

But for the most part we are all feeling better today. Today is suppose to be the last nice day for a while, so we decided to make the most of the beautiful Fall day. We traveled to the Pumpkin Patch to have some traditional festivities. After being posed into several photos they let me play with the most exciting things there...the ROCKS!

On Sunday Grandma took me to the Children's Museum while mommy and daddy were at a wedding. I had soooo much fun, that I didn't nap all day long! I saw dinosaurs(and even dressed up like one), saw fish, trains, danced, and played in an area designed just for kids my age. If I had it my way, I would go back everyday!

I love to throw things! Rocks, rubber from the park, puzzle pieces, and balls! I especially love basketball. Every time we go to the park, mom has to lower the hoop and hold me up to make baskets. Sometimes I like to hang from the rim and pretend I am a BIG kid. My neighbors have a tiny basketball hoop that they let me play with. But I do barge over and snoop around their garage until I find it. The things you can get away with when you are one! Lately my love of throwing things into baskets and trashcans has merged with my love of water. And anything from hairbrushes and remotes have been in the potty. I also enjoy finding anything I can carry and putting it in mommy and daddy's tub and turn the water on. They have had to fish out towels, pants, video games, etc...They keep saying no no no, but I just laugh and run away!

It has been VERY hot the last couple of days. The pictures you are about to see are from the spray park near our house, but let me make this disclaimer. The water park is next to the normal park where mom and dad had brought me to play. We stopped there on our way home from a bike ride. There were no intentions of me playing in the water...but they couldn't hide it from me! That is why I am running around in my skivies. Public indecency is not something I try to do, but I was hot and I wanted to get wet! Also, the pictures are from moms camera, so I am sorry about the quaility. I also started Kindermusik today. It is a class for babies 0-18months where we sing, dance and play instruments. I was kinda nervous for my first class, I wanted to make a good impression. But I am afraid I made more of an impression on a little girls head. I was just playing the maraca on her head-apparently she didn't like that. I need to learn to be gentle to the littler babies. I also have been kinda sick. Mom and dad took me to the doctor last week and when I got there something magical happened - I showed no signs of being sick or fussy. But within an hour and a half from being home a spiked a fever of 102.5 and developed a croopy cough. I think mom is waiting to take me back in. I think she knows I put on a show for the doctor.

As I get bigger, I get faster. Which means mom is busy chasing me around ALL day not really allowing for many moments where she has a free hand to take a picture. I will try to slow down so we can make sure the blog gets updated more. After watching other kids my age around town and at church mom and dad have decided that I am the busiest little guy around. I wake up (very early these days I might add) at 100 miles an hour and don't stop until I sleep. a new development is that I can say a few words like light (li-li), kitty (titty), dog, uh-oh, dada. I also love water! Any chance I get to turn on a faucet or throw something in the toilet is a fun time. This last weekend I went to Ohio and to Michigan to visit family, and it was a good time because water was involved!!!

One Year Ago...

Happy Birthday to me!! It seems like yesterday I started this blog. Hard to believe that it has already been ONE YEAR! To help me celebrate the occasion, on Saturday I had a birthday party, where my grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunt were all there!! We had presents, a pinata, and a CAKE. I enjoyed them all very much! Today is my real birthday and I am pretty sure mom and dad will let me try that cake one more time. Unfortunately I have started to feel kinda crummy these last few days. But I go to the Doctor tomorrow for my one year, so he will be able to tell me (well, mom and dad - I already know, just can't get them to understand my screams) if it is teeth or something else. Nini and Papa are coming over for dinner. I think I will make uncle Todd where a party hat, he has to listen to the birthday boy! Here are a few pictures from Saturday...

Well I have made it back from Lake Tahoe, and I had a lot of fun. There were many "firsts" for me, a few to mention - the airplane ride (mom and dad don't like to remember that), camping, a beach, feeding ducks, mountains...and many more. I have lots of pictures to show you but we don't have our card reader at home. But thanks to Uncle Robbie I have a few to show of how very very very dirty I was!!
